ATX

This weekend we went to Austin to visit our best friends. We had a nice weekend, but I think Jack had the most fun. Jack feels so at home at the Bungo's. He played with all Brock's toys and did some things he had never tried before. It was neat to watch him explore. Of course when we got home his Daddy took him right up to Toys-R-Us and hooked him up with some new toys that he really enjoyed at Brocks house!

Best one yet!

This year Kenny and I decided to celebrate Valentines Day the Saturday before. It was by far, the best Valentines we have had!

Instead of a fancy dinner we usually go to, we went to a little small Italian pizzeria by our house. Had a very tasty meal, shared a bottle of wine, and ate too much dessert! After dinner we contemplated what we should do. I mean we had a sitter. We never go out. The possibilities were endless!

What did we REALLY want to do? Go home, get in our jammies and cuddle in front of the TV! We were on the couch, my makeup off, us in our PJ's in time to watch the beginning of SNL! We loved it!

Monday Kenny surprised me at work with roses and lunch and I made my boys a nice dinner that evening.

I hope everyone had a love filled day!

Touchdown!

This year mom and I hosted the Superbowl party at her house. We had a blast, even though the Steelers did not win. We had TONS of food and drink, kids running around playing, drawings for door prizes, and wonderful company!

Favors I made in Steelers colors!

Jack's 1 year Pictures

We got some pictures taken....so cute! Although, you will see in one he looks way too big!

No Winter Blues here!

Got the winter blues? Jack doesn't! He has been busier than ever!

Some new things Jack does:
- He says, Momma, Dadda, dog, ball, bubble bath, i love you, k sounds, h sounds (bubble bath and I love you do not include the letter l in Jack's language right now but that is OK!)
- When we ask him if he wants a diaper change-kid marches in his room!
- When we tell him time for a bubble bath-he repeats (without the l) and runs (literally) into his bathroom and tries to climb in the tub
- He runs (all time)
- shuts all the doors in the house
- puts mega blocks together and takes them apart
- puts smaller things in bigger things
- can carry a ball in a bowl all over the house (does it all the time!)
- claps
- Dances and can repeat a dance you show him
- loves to bang things together
- has 4 teeth
- jump
- holds his fake phone close to his ear and "talks"
- reading books are still his fave
- gives "lovies" all day long!
- Mommy rocks him before he lays down every night. He doesn't fall asleep he just stares at me. It's my most favorite time ever. I cherish every night we do that ritual. I always make sure no matter what I home to do that.

My new favorite thing Jack does is that he will empty one of his dresser drawers and hand me all the clothes. Shut the drawer and walk away. I will call him back, hand him the items one at a time and tell him to put them back. That kid will go open the SAME drawer and put them all back! I LOVE IT!

Little Gym

At Jack's 1 year check up Dr. Clarke was impressed by Jack's motor skills and suggested we join something like Little Gym to keep him going and learning new things. We have been really blessed this year having our moms watch Jack and him not having to go to day care yet. Because of that Kenny and I work extra hard to be creative with activities after work and on the weekends.

We decided to got do a "trial" class at Little Gym before we committed to a 20 week program! You never how a 1 year old will react when he has never been with that many children before!

Ok, we should have known better. If you have met my son you know he meets no strangers! He had a blast! Would go right up to the teacher, other children, other PARENTS...no one was off limits! Jack thinks everyone is his friend! He sat in circle time and joined in on the group activities. He climbed up something for the first time! His most favorite thing to do was handstands with mommy and daddy.

Needless to say, we signed him right up!

On the blow up air mattress. One of his favorite things at Little Gym!
