Early Christmas Present?

Well we may have an early Christmas present! Jack and I have had the best pregnancy. Very easy with no worries. On Wednesday after work I felt him move twice in a row and for some reason it just did not feel normal to me. I just had a weird feeling. I had never called my doctor about anything before but decided to go ahead just in case. She wanted me to go to hospital to just check it out. I actually waited over two hours before we went in and I felt really silly going!

Well I am glad I did! I was in pre-term labor with contractions less than three minutes apart! I had no idea! I took a series of shots which they thought would stop contractions. It didn't but did move them to six minutes apart. They also did a test on me to see if I was at risk to deliver within the next 10 days, which came back positive. They decided to keep me over night, start a drip to stop contractions and give me a series of steroid shots to get little Jack's lungs stronger.

This "silly" trip to the hospital was turning out a little different than we expected. On the way to the hospital Kenny and I actually were talking about where we should go to dinner for a "date night" when we were done getting checked out at the hospital! Ha! Definitely first time parents!

Kenny and I were scared but we knew the doctors knew what was best for him. It was a very, very long, uncomfortable, painful night but totally worth every single second for baby Jack! By the morning I had only had a couple minor contractions! I was taken off the drip and started the oral medication. By the end of the day I was ready to leave. I had to wait until 10 PM to get my final steroid shot and then I was a free woman! Well....free woman who can not leave her house, her bed, her couch....you get the picture!

Jack is healthy! He is still actually showing bigger than he is weeks old! That is a very good sign. He is 5 pounds 7 ounces. My belly has not grown in a month. I am just very small inside and will be high risk with my pregnancies, but as of right now everything is good!

The goal is to keep him baking for at least two more weeks! After 10 PM tonight his lungs should be much stronger and I will feel a little calmer about him coming. So much at once but I thank God that I listed to my instinct and called the doctor. And I want to thank my friends and family for their love, prayers, and support.

I definitely will keep you posted on this little man! Keep praying for him! You may just see a little man with a santa hat on his head this year!!!!

30 Weeks

Well I am 30 weeks today! Doesn't seem like that is possible, but it is!

On October 24th some family and very close, wonderful friends threw a beautiful shower for Jack and I. It was such a wonderful day. With so many people there to celebrate little Jack it was one of the best days I have ever had. It was a wonderful shower. Everything was just perfect! Two of my best friends came in, Lacey from NYC and Mary from Chicago. It meant the world to me to have them there.

As I have been writing Thank You notes I became so overwhelmed by the generosity and love from my friends and family. Its very overwhelming. Jack is already loved so much by so many people! I just can't believe what people have done for our growing family! We are so blessed. Thank you to everyone and a special thanks to my mom, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law Tammi, my Aunt Shirley, Emily and Krystal.

Kenny and I have Jack's nursery almost finished. We are waiting for some finishing touches on things we have ordered. Now that I have the sock monkey nursery almost done, I am seeing sock monkey things everywhere!

I THINK we have almost everything we need and I feel very calm. I have been so anxious about everything being "just right" but all the sudden a calmness has come over me about Jack. I just am so excited to meet him and hold him and kiss him! Kenny feels the same way. We like to keep his nursery room door open so we can look at it! And we both get carried away when shopping for him!

Kenny will be traveling again in November and December but only for about a week at a time. Thank goodness! I feel good and Jack is kicking so much! I am nesting a lot!

The pictures above are me at 30 weeks and some pictures from the shower and Jack's nursery when we unloaded all the goodies!

I will update as we get closer to January 11th!

25 weeks

I am 25 weeks now and really feeling Jack kick. I was feeling him for a week while Kenny was in KC. When Kenny was home last weekend he got to finally feel Jack kick! It is just amazing! Kenny and I are just getting more and more excited waiting for this little guy to arrive! It seems crazy that we even had a life pre-baby! Nothing but our family even seems important anymore!

Jack's nursery is coming right along, we have some decorative touches left to do but the basics are finished and it looks so cute. Baby Brock broke in the crib this weekend!

We also had the chance to register this weekend and although I am very thankful that we got that done, it also has stressed me out a little more! So many things and so much to do! Thankfully Emily went with Kenny and I and helped us so much. She pointed out items that I never knew existed!

Kenny turned 29 last week and I threw him a surprise dinner over the weekend. All of our friends came out to surprise him and we had a blast! I can't believe I actually kept it a secret! Kenny was so touched that everyone made it out and we had a really good time! Its fun to see everyone with babies and bellies full of babies!

I will update again with pictures soon!

Above are some updated nursery pictures, belly pictures (one is with my dear friend Samantha who is only two weeks ahead of me!), and a Mommy and Daddy photo!

Boy, OH, BOY!

It's a boy! When we found out we were so excited! I of course cried because I was just overcome with emotion, and Kenny literally yelled out "YES!". It was awesome! The pictures did not come out as good but I will post a couple. His name will be Jack Kenneth Freeman.
I had the chance to go visit Kenny in Missouri last weekend and that was wonderful! I am blessed we got to see each other! He will be home again this weekend and we will finish painting the nursery. I started this week. We are doing a sock monkey room! I also got to visit my very close friend from college, Heidi, who is also expecting!!!! We had the best time together and definitely had lots of mommy talk going on! Above is an updated photo of us. As you can see, Jack AND my belly are growing! Also, Jack (hard to see) and his nursery so far!

19 weeks

I felt the baby kick! It was awesome. Felt very strange and the feeling stayed with me for awhile. I am really looking forward to when Kenny will be able to feel it also.

Kenny has had to go to Kansas City, Missouri for two months. He has an apartment there and will come home as often as he can for a couple days. These next two months are going to be very difficult without the love of my life with me, but I will just look forward to when he is home for good!

In two weeks on the 28th, Kenny will come home and we will find out the gender of our baby! It is so hard for me to be patient and wait! I still think we are having a boy...we will see! We have all the furniture for the baby's room so as soon as we find out we can paint, and that will keep me busy while Kenny is gone!

I will update again when we find out the sex! What do y'all think? Boy or Girl?

Week 13

Here are the first pictures of Baby Freeman at 13 weeks! Mom has a feeling Baby is a boy.....we will see!

Kenny and Tamara

Kenny and I met three and a half years ago through mutual friends. Shortly (very!) after we met, we eloped in Vegas. Six months later we had a wonderful celebration with our family and friends. From the moment we met we were inseparable and knew we wanted to be together and one day have a family. In fact, one of the reasons we started talking about marriage was that we had both talked about wanting a family with each other, and realized we had never felt that way before. Many job transfers, changes, and moves later we are pregnant and could not be more happy about it!

I found out I was expecting in May. I was in Austin visiting my dear friend Emily (who was about to POP with baby Brock, whom I LOVE to death!). I called Emily on the way and told her I thought I was pregnant. Neither of us thought I really was but sure enough it was positive! Emily and I screamed and laughed and cried! I was shaking because I was so excited so Emily drove me to the store where we picked out a little outfit for me to give to Kenny when I got home. Kenny was super excited (but I don't think he really believed it until the doctor confirmed!) and we went out to dinner to celebrate that night.

Kenny is in commercial real estate with Boxer Property. Kenny thoroughly enjoys his job! I taught for three years and then moved into management, which was not my cup of tea! I now am working for my parents running their office as well as doing their customer service, marketing, and public relations. This job is just what I was looking for and I am excited for what the future holds!

We will find out the sex of the baby in five weeks and will post then!
